Proposed Amendments to Chapter Bylaws

Posted: Jan 11, 2018

This past August, ASSE members made the historic decision to change the organization’s name to the American Society of Safety Professionals.

ASSE members voted to amend Society bylaws to reflect the new name. As a separately incorporated entity, our chapter needs to hold a separate chapter member vote to change the name in our bylaws, as well.

To learn more about these proposed changes:

We will hold a member vote on these proposed changes at an upcoming meeting of the chapter.

Update Your Contact Information!

Posted: Mar 07, 2016

Help us help you stay informed. Make sure your contact information is kept up to date.

Society has finally updated the website. www.asse.org now allows you direct access to your own profile. You can add a picture, change your address and phone number and include a bit of information about your career and education.

If you have any trouble accessing your profile please contact Society Customer Service at 1-847-699-2929 or email them at customerservice@asse.org.

Keeping your information current will help us ensure that you are getting all chapter information and publications, as well as news from ASSE Society.

Remember, even when you specifically email us, your chapter officers, and ask us to change an email address you must still change it on your profile. If you do not, the roster will always reflect your out of date information and we will not be able to reach you. Each time we send out mass emails we access a new roster to include new members.

Thank you for helping us.

Establish a Safety Fund

Posted: Aug 19, 2015

Donors can establish a named academic scholarship or professional education grant fund through the ASSE Foundation. Scholarships and grants advance the safety profession and provide national recognition for the donor. The Foundation manages the administrative details of this program and works with the donor to provide qualified award recipients each year.

Visionary Fund

The ASSE Foundation can administer a Visionary Scholarship/Grant Program where funds are invested in the Foundation’s portfolio. The goal is to keep your principle intact over time, depending on the investment results of the Foundation’s portfolio. This type of fund is ideal for the donor who wants their scholarship/grant to last over a long period of time and has the cash to fund such a program.

Advocate Fund

The ASSE Foundation can administer an Advocate Scholarship/Grant Program where the donor contributes enough to cover the amount of the scholarship and the administrative fee for a one year period or more. These funds do not earn interest and are paid out to the recipient during the next scholarship cycle(s). This type of award suits the donor who does not want to establish a Visionary scholarship/grant
